The USA Network's Real Country reality competition is almost ready to kick off with Shania Twain, Jake Owen, and Travis Tritt! More here.
The USA Network’s Real Country reality competition series is set to debut on Tuesday, November 13th! Watch the three country music star judges Shania Twain, Jake Owen, and Travis Tritt introduce the show to viewers below!
“I’ve never seen a show like this before,” Twain shared in the promo clip. “It’s unique because we’re focusing on country music.”
In each hour-long episode, Twain, Owen, and Tritt will hand-select emerging solo artists, duos, and groups to perform in showcases that spotlight the rich traditions, songs, and themes of country music. The best artists from each showcase will perform in a two-hour grand finale, for the chance to be named one of country music’s next breakout acts.
“Country music fans, they’re gonna love this show,” Owen said in the video. “I think there’s people out there that don’t even realize they love country music yet.”
As previously revealed, the program has added Trace Adkins, Wynonna Judd, and country duo Big & Rich as celebrity guests. Country music legend Willie Nelson is also scheduled to make a special appearance during the season.
From 2002 through 2007, USA Network was the home of Nashville Star. As fans can recall, country stars Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, and Chris Young are notable Nashville Star alums. It will be interesting to see if any of the Real Country acts break out and become big stars.

“Down To The Honkytonk” Lyrics
I got a house, down a backroad
I got a flag on the front porch
I got a dog named Waylon
I got a driveway that needs paving
I got a boat with a two stroke
A couple guaranteed to make you laugh jokes
I got friends in low places
Yeah, life is what you make it
I might not end up in the hall of fame
With a star on the sidewalk with my name
Or a statue in my hometown when I’m gone
Nobody gonna name their babies after me
I might not go down in history
But, I’ll go down to the Honkytonk
I got a girl named Sheila
She goes batshit on tequila
I got a job that gets the job done
I got a loan at the bank, it’s a big one
The only place you might see my name
Is on the wall, for a good time call
I’m a local legend on a Friday night
In a Pabst Blue Ribbon neon light
I might not end up in the hall of fame
With a star on the sidewalk with my name
Or a statue in my hometown when I’m gone
Nobody gonna name their babies after me
I might not go down in history
But, I’ll go down to the Honkytonk
I’ll go down to the Honkytonk
I’ll go down to the Honkytonk
I’ll go down, I’ll go down to the Honkytonk
I’ll go down to the Honkytonk
I’ll go down to the Honkytonk
I’ll go down, I’ll go down to the Honkytonk
I might not end up in the hall of fame
With a star on the sidewalk with my name
Or a statue in my hometown when I’m gone
Nobody gonna name their babies after me
I might not go down in history
But, I’ll go down to the Honkytonk
I’ll go down to the Honkytonk
I’ll go down to the Honkytonk
I’ll go down, I’ll go down to the Honkytonk
I’ll go down to the Honkytonk
I’ll go down to the Honkytonk
I’ll go down, I’ll go down to the Honkytonk
