Country music entertainer Blake Shelton wants to help you ring in a brand new year!
The Oklahoman will perform during New Year’s Live with Carson Daly along with fellow The Voice coach Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, and a capella group Pentatonix. Television personality Daly will host the one hour celebratory special from the heart of New York City’s Times Square with former Spice Girl Mel B acting as co-host.
Shelton will likely perform tunes off his 2016 album If I’m Honest and possibly a few of his top hits. New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly will broadcast from 11:30 pm to 12:30 am ET via NBC.
“Our country is divided and we’ve been through a lot this year, but yet here we all are together,” Daly told Billboard ahead of the big event. “And the ball goes down and you count backwards, and when [the number] one comes, it’s 2017 and we’re all crossing the finish line together.”
