Country music superstar Miranda Lambert‘s MuttNation Foundation has been going strong for ten years! In celebration of this milestone, the non-profit is giving $150,000 in grants to 50 animals shelters across the United States as part of its Mutts Across America initiative! Since 2015, the Mutts Across America push has awarded more than $750,000 in grants to 250 shelters.
“Music and rescue animals are the two driving forces in my life, and I’m so fortunate that the success I’ve had with my music allows me to help shelter animals more than I dreamed possible,” Lambert shares in a statement. “MuttNation’s 10-year milestone is amazing and what we’ve been able to accomplish gets better every year. Just in this past year alone, we helped 1,776 shelter pets find their forever homes.”
The star and her mother, Bev, founded Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation in 2009 with the goal to promote the adoption of shelter animals, assist with animal transport, and help during times of natural disaster.
