Country music superstar Miranda Lambert has mobilized MuttNation Foundation to help out her home state of Texas! More here.
As the remnants of Hurricane Harvey continue to batter eastern Texas and cause massive flooding, country music star Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation is on its way to the Houston area to lend a helping hand!
“Our team is headed South! It was important to our AMAZING founder, Miranda Lambert that we do our part for her home state! We are headed to Houston to give relief to municipal shelters. We will help transport any animals currently in shelters so that there is room for displaced animals from Hurricane Harvey! Plus any other support we can offer!!! You can help support our efforts by donating at http://www.muttnationfoundation.com! Friends, please pray for Texas,” the organization shared via its social media channels.
As fans well know, Miranda hails from Lindale, Texas and is all about supporting her home state. In 2009, the “Vice” singer-songwriter started the MuttNation Foundation with her mother, Bev, in order to shine the spotlight on the needs of shelters-rescues and to promote animal adoptions nationwide.
We applaud Lambert and her crew as they work to aid creatures great and small in the Lone Star State. Goodness knows they need help down there! If you would like to help support the MuttNation Foundation’s admirable efforts directly, go here.
Below are some other reputable charities currently on the ground in the region that are also accepting monetary donations online:
Besides Miranda, country star Chris Young has launched a GoFundMe page with a personal $100,000 donation to help relief efforts (his goal is to reach $500,000) and country music trio Lady Antebellum is generously donating all of the proceeds earned from their merchandise sales from their show in Dallas, Texas to help those impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
Keep Texas in your thoughts and prayers! Share this with others looking for ways to help out and make a difference!
