Country music star Miranda Lambert Livin’ Like Hippies Tour stop in Newark, New Jersey, last week was extra special. After killing a tremendous performance of her 2009 “Airstream Song,” her band started playing “Elvira,” a familiar tune by the Oak Ridge Boys. Of course, Miranda Lambert began singing along. All of a sudden, the music stopped.
“You know what would be even cooler?” Lambert asked the crowd. “If the Oak Ridge Boys were here to sing this song with us.” Then, the Oak Ridge band members, Duane Allen, Joe Bonsall, Richard Sterban, and William Lee Golden, joined the Texan on stage.
