Miranda Lambert's stop in the Windy City will benefit a cause very close to the songstress' heart. More on the event here!

Ahead of her official Highway Vagabond Tour, which begins on January 26th, country music sensation Miranda Lambert is making an extra-special stop at Joe’s Bar in Chicago on Tuesday, January 24th for a great reason. The $50 ticket price for her performance with singer-songwriter Natalie Hemby will go directly to support Lambert’s “Women Creators Fund,” which provides a scholarship for one female Belmont University student pursing a music industry career.

In 2016, Belmont University student Anna Vaus was the first-ever recipient of the “Women Creators” scholarship, which provided her with more than $40,000 in scholarship funds for the 2016-2017 academic year.

“I am so thankful and honored to have been chosen as the first recipient of the Miranda Lambert Women Creators Fund,” Vaus expressed upon receiving the scholarship. “Not just because of what a crazy opportunity it is for myself, but because the tide is changing for all of the young women in this industry. I have so much hope for women in country music because of the path that Miranda and so many awesome people are currently fighting to pave for us!”

Joe’s Bar is 21 and older venue and Miranda’s set begins at 8 PM CT. If you placed a ticket request earlier this week, you should have been notified of your order status on Thursday, January 12th, according to Joe’s website.
