Country music superstar Miranda Lambert‘s fans stepped up in a big way during the star’s recently wrapped The Bandwagon Tour with Little Big Town. Concertgoers helped ‘Fill the Little Red Wagon’ with an assortment of supplies and cash donations to help out local animal shelters at each stop.
“My fans always amaze me with their compassion and generosity,” the country star shared in a statement. “Knowing so many of us share this love for shelter pets adds another special connection between us and, when I get to hear some of the fans’ stories about their rescues, it always touches my heart.”
As fans know so well, Miranda is passionate about helping animals in need and is the proud dog-mom of eight rescue pups. In 2009, she and her mom, Bev, started the MuttNation Foundation to help promote the adoption of shelter animals and to aid deserving shelters across the country.
