Normally Miranda Lambert keeps pretty mum about her romantic life, so when she goes public with anything extremely personal— it’s a big deal. The country star broke her normally low-key social media streak in honor of her boyfriend Anderson East‘s milestone 30th birthday yesterday.
The 33-year-old Texan shared a sweet message via Instagram to her boyfriend along with a collage of photos from his 30th birthday celebration.
“My favorite Bama boy turned 30 today,” she shared in her Instagram post. “He owns the stage and he owns my heart. Thanks @andersoneast for inspiring me in so many ways. You are a light that could outshine the sun. I love making memories with you.”
East also shared a similar collection of photos along with a sweet note to his loved ones, including Miranda.
“Thanks to everyone for all the love on my birthday,” he wrote. “I can’t believe that I get the privilege to live the life that I get to live. I have the love of an amazing & kind woman, I get to play music that I love & trust & I get to do it with the greatest band & crew ever & I have the love & support of my family. I love being alive – I love having beautiful memories & I am beyond excited about what the future may hold. Thank you all for everything. I love everything and every one.”
The pair first went public with their romance on January 1, 2016, not long after Lambert divorced fellow country star Blake Shelton the previous summer. Anderson’s distinctive sound first caught the Texas beauty’s attention. In an interview with new country radio station 92.3 WCOL out of Ohio, Anderson revealed how he and Miranda first crossed paths.
“Randomly enough, she came to one of my shows… A friend of hers introduced us,” Anderson explained. He also spoke upon how music and singing old country songs together has strengthened their romantic bond.
Miranda and Anderson have also struck up a creative partnership that can be enjoyed by their fans. East co-wrote “Getaway Driver” and “Well-Rested” with Lambert for her hit 2016 double album, The Weight of These Wings, and also provided background vocals on her “Pushin’ Time” track.
It’s great to see this pair doing so well, they truly are old souls who understand each other.
