Country music maven Martina McBride‘s 19-year-old middle daughter, Emma, just left the family home in order to chase her dreams of building an acting career in Los Angeles, California. In response to her daughter’s big move, Martina shared the following heartfelt note through her social media accounts:
“There were a lot of tears in our family today. Emma moved to LA to embark upon her acting career. It didn’t hit me until after I got back home from the airport that she isn’t just going on a visit….but moving out of our house…maybe for good. Of course she knows she can always come back. But in a way…a very bittersweet way….I almost hope she doesn’t. Because today is the day we all have been talking about…and she has been dreaming about…for years. Literally at least 6 years. She’s wanted to be a film and TV actress for as long as I can remember. She set her sights on it and dreamed big. And I have no doubt she will give it everything she has. And the world will fall in love with her. Because she has that kind of magic. And that kind of heart. Emma I have so much more I could say here…but I’ve said it to you in private. You know I believe in you and I’m so proud of you my brave, sweet girl. I love you,” the star candidly expressed.
Besides Emma, Martina and her husband of nearly thirty years, John, are also proud parents to 22-year-old Delaney and 12-year-old Ava. Enjoy some cute McBride family snapshots below!

Martina isn’t shy when it comes to sharing her love for her family publicly. When Emma turned nineteen in March, her proud mother posted this sweet message to her daughter:
“Happy 19th Birthday to my sweet Emma. You have been a ray of light since day 1. When the nurse did the ultrasound she said “she has a beautiful heart” and she was so right. Everyone who is lucky enough to know you and cross your path will never forget you. Never afraid to speak your mind, fiercely loyal, intuitive, funny, strong, compassionate, and smart…you are both the peacekeeper and the trailblazer. And my heart.”
