The wait is almost over for Maren Morris’ sophomore album, Girl! The country music star’s record will become available March 8th. However, the album’s title may sound familiar because the 28-year-old released the record’s title track in January. After marrying fellow artist Ryan Hurd, Morris is taking a new approach to music.
“Me choosing ‘Girl’ as the first single, it’s about transitioning from someone who felt like she didn’t need anybody into someone who very much needs people, and is okay with admitting that,” Morris told Billboard. “That really frightening vulnerability that I’ve been trying to avoid, I’m not doing that any longer.”
