Country music duo Maddie & Tae are back in a big way and just unveiled their must-see music video for “Friends Don’t.” Check out the visual story below!
The music video was filmed in Nashville and directed by TK McKamy. The storyline circles around the uncertainty at the beginning of relationships and young couples making the transition from friends to lovers. This addictive song was written by the group’s very own Madison Marlow and Taylor Dye in collaboration with Justin Ebach and Jon Nite.
“To us ‘Friends Don’t’ feels sexy and confident, but with a dash of that uncertainty you have at the start of a relationship because you don’t know if the other person feels the same way you do,” Taylor revealed. “We wanted to play off that push and pull we’ve all felt before.”
“We both got to do a little acting and play out separate storylines with a love interest,” Madison added. “It was pretty outside of the box for us to act, so we just tried to have fun with it.”
