Country music singer-songwriter Luke Combs is on vocal rest after giving it his all at CMA Fest. More details here!

Country music hit-maker Luke Combs has made the move to cancel a few concerts due to being placed on vocal rest by his physicians.

“To all of my fans: I am devastated over this, but unfortunately, I’m not going to be able to play for y’all this weekend or next because I’ve lost my voice. After I got off stage last night at CMA Fest, I had completely lost my voice. I’ve powered through plenty of shows before, but with how my voice sounds and feels today, I couldn’t possibly give y’all the show you paid for and deserve,” the North Carolina native shared in a statement posted to Instagram on Sunday.

“This morning, I saw my doctors and we’ve got a plan of vocal rest and treatments for the next 10 days so I can be back with y’all as quickly as possible,” he continued. “It kills me to have to do this. Y’all are the reason I get on stage every night.”

While this news is disappointing, Combs’ voice is his instrument and needs to be taken care of properly. We’re sure Luke will announce rescheduled dates for the impacted concerts soon. View his full tour schedule here.

We wish Luke lots of healing and look forward to seeing him hit the stage again! Enjoy Luke’s “A Long Way” video below.

“A Long Way” Lyrics

Six beers and five guys and if I remember right, it was a
Wednesday when we got our buzz on for second hand six pack
Half smoked soft pack, light it up boys, take a drag
And when I fought that cough off everyone else thought I was so damn cool

But my head was spinnin’ like a Tilt-A-Whirl
Yeah man, it really rocked my world

Back when everything seemed just a little bit stronger
Back when the weekend lasted a little longer
I can’t tell you why they did, but things seemed to never end back then
Oh way back when, when a little went a long way

One girl, 45 bucks was all it took that night
Hit the steakhouse makeout and the movies way up in the back
Credits roll on pace,to make it all the way to second base
Tried to play it cool like it was nothin’ new and she didn’t have a clue

But my head was spinnin’ like a Tilt-A-Whirl
Yeah man, she really rocked my world

Back when things seemed just a little bit stronger
Back when the weekend lasted a little longer
I can’t tell you why they did, things seemed to never end back then
Oh way back when, when a little went a long way

Back when everything seemed just a little bit stronger
Back when the weekend lasted a little longer
I can’t tell you why they did, but things seemed to never end back then
Oh way back when, when a little went a long long way
A long way
