Sure this Buck Commander hunting video is from 2016— but watching it again reminds us of how entertaining Luke Bryan is beyond the stage!
In the video, Luke and a few of his Buck Commander friends are deer hunting on an Illinois farm that is ripe with deer. Unfortunately for the group, the big bucks have a history of being elusive. After spotting plenty of does and smaller bucks, Aaron the landowner finally breaks the spell by taking a huge buck.
On the last afternoon of Luke’s Illinois adventure, the star finally sees a buck worthy of his attention— and arrow. Check out Luke’s reaction starting at the 18:00 mark below!

Luke’s very expressive personality has also made him a target of practical jokes. Watch “The Buckmen”—also comprised of Willie Robertson, Jason Aldean, former MLB player Ryan Langerhans, former Chicago White Sox first basemen Adam LaRoche, and former MLB pitcher Tombo Martin— hide a special something in Luke’s backpack.
While in the deer stand, the cameraman asks him for a pair of ear buds, so the singer reaches into his backpack and quickly discovers a new rodent friend he dubs “Mr. Bo-Doddly.” Yes, the rat flips out on the award-winning entertainer— peeing on him and giving him a nasty bite.

In an interview about the dramatic episode alongside an amused Jason Aldean, Luke states, “You know, ever since then, I’ve been having fevers at night and cold chills, so I probably got some kind of rare sewer rat virus.”
Oh goodness, we want more hunting videos starring Luke. Guess we’ll just have to put this tune on repeat until more videos are created…
