Country music star Luke Bryan put a halt to the music in order to honor late crew member, Marcus Wade. More on Luke's in-concert tribute here.

During his Louisville, Kentucky tour stop on February 18th, country music superstar Luke Bryan performed a stripped down version of his hit song “Drink A Beer” for a very important reason— to honor 46-year-old Marcus Wade, a crew member who was killed in a motorcycle accident on February 9th.

After the somber performance, Bryan led the audience in a moment of silence. During this time a photo of Wade was displayed and he was referred to as a “longtime roadie and Luke Bryan body double.”

Wade’s friends have set up a GoFundMe page to help his widow, Lori, with medical bills and celebration of life expenses. According to Taste of Country, Wade had also worked on the Georgia native’s That’s My Kind of Night Tour, Kill the Lights Tour, and Farm Tour. He also worked on tour crews for country music stars Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, and Toby Keith.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Marcus Wade’s wife and loved ones.

“Drink a Beer” Lyrics

When I got the news today
I didn’t know what to say.
So I just hung up the phone.
I took a walk to clear my head,
This is where the walking lead
Can’t believe you’re really gone
Don’t feel like going home
So I’m gonna sit right here
On the edge of this pier
Watch the sunset disappear
And drink a beer
Funny how the good ones go
Too soon, but the good lord knows
The reasons why it gets
Sometimes the greater plan is kinda hard to understand
Right now it don’t make sense
I can’t make it all make sense
So I’m gonna sit right here
On the edge of this pier
Watch the sunset disappear
And drink a beer
So long my friend, until we meet again
I’ll remember you
And all the times we used to
Sit right here on the edge of this pier
Watch the sunset disappear
And drink a beer
Drink a beer, drink a beer.
