Three members of Luke Bryan’s Kill the Lights Tour light rigging crew were injured in a car accident early Sunday morning. The men had just worked Bryan’s Syracuse, New York tour stop and were en route back home to West Virginia.
As The Odessa File reports, the incident occurred just outside of Alpine Junction, New York, south of Syracuse, when their minivan went airborne, hit a tree, and ended up in a water-filled roadside ditch. One of the crew members was outside of the vehicle when first responders arrived on the scene, the other two members were trapped inside and were extracted from the wreckage using the Jaws of Life.
UPDATE: Luke Bryan posted the following message via his Facebook Page on Tuesday, “We are so saddened to hear about the accident of the local crew guys after our Syracuse show. Our thoughts and well wishes for a speedy recovery go out to them and their families.”
The three men were a part of the local crew that was hired to help setup the lighting for the New York show. The men, whose named have not been officially released, were airlifted to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse and Packer Hospital in Sayre with undisclosed injuries.
