Country music superstar Luke Bryan and wife Caroline Boyer Bryan‘s Brett’s Barn menagerie has grown by eight little hooves! Meet alpacas Pekka and Mister!
SO FLUFFY! According to Caroline, Mister is all about the cuddles and Pekka just wants to be all up in your business. Meet more of the adorable Brett’s Barn crew below!
As fans can well remember, Luke also surprised Caroline with a pair of young kangaroos in December. “Todd” and “Margo” are busy adjusting to life with the Bryan family and will officially be added to Brett’s Barn down the road.
Alright, now for some background on Brett’s Barn. In February 2017, the power couple shared the sad news that their niece, Sadie Brett Boyer, the daughter of Caroline’s brother Bo Boyer and his wife Ellen, had passed away at just 7-months-old. The youngster suffered from multiple heath problems including heart issues and an infection that had impacted her liver.
In honor of her memory, the Bryan family started up Brett’s Barn on their Tennessee property. During an interview with Taste of Country Nights, Luke revealed that the living memorial to their niece coordinates with local charities to bring kids out to visit and interact with the animals.
In addition to Brett’s Barn, Luke and Caroline have also thrown their support behind The Brett Boyer Foundation, which was created by Brett’s loving parents.
“I wouldn’t change Brett for the world, but I do want to change the world for her and all of her friends with DS [Down syndrome],” Ellen explained in a heartfelt message posted on the organization’s official website.
The Brett Boyer Foundation’s goal is as follows:
“The mission of the Brett Boyer Foundation is to raise awareness for children with Congenital Heart Disease and Down Syndrome through the funding of advanced, targeted research to improve patients’ lives and to provide education, housing and financial support to affected families.”
