Georgia-born country music superstar Luke Bryan, who is currently on his Huntin’ Fishin and Lovin’ Every Day Tour, rings in his 41st birthday today! Also of note, the star recently landed a spot on the 2017 Forbes ranking of the world’s highest-paid country musicians, earning about $42 million over the past year. (So, about a million per year of life, eh Luke? Nice birthday gift… )
While in Cleveland, Ohio for concert on Saturday, some lucky fans got a surprise treat when Luke Bryan danced a jaunty little jig while the Peach Pickers (songwriters Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson and Ben Hayslip) busked on a city sidewalk.
As Akins performs Luke’s 2013 No. 1 hit single “That’s My Kind of Night,” the singer-songwriter jumps into the frame and shows off some signature moves. Enjoy the moment below!
To celebrate the mega-watt star’s birthday in proper fashion, we’ve gathered some of our favorite Luke Bryan quotes and snapshots! Check them out below.
“I thought being on stage was an amazing feeling, but there is nothing that can top watching my wife bring our son into this world.”- Luke talking wife Caroline Boyer Bryan
“I’m a really, really optimistic and really, really positive person. My main thing is, ‘Enjoy life. Celebrate life.'” – Luke’s outlook on life
“My thing is to get up there and have a good time and give the fans all you can and appreciate them spending their money and being in the stands – and just be appreciative of them cheering when you come onstage.”- Luke on his fan base
“Just really, really believe in what you’re trying to do. Don’t let people alter that. Let people advise you and lead you down paths to make smart business decisions. But trust your instinct and trust that overwhelming drive that made you put all your dreams and everything on the line.” – Luke on chasing your dreams
“If I wake up one day and people tell me I’m not sexy, I’m not going to stop making good music and having fun. That ‘sex symbol’ thing is typically part of being in the limelight. You better be very talented in your music, but it’s good to be nice to look at, I guess.” – Luke on his famous good looks
