Country singer Lucy Hale released Lie a Little Better from her debut album “Road Between”. The “Pretty Little Liars” star an uptempo country track that is all about trying to keep a crush a secret. The song was inspired by Lucy’s real life situation of having a crush on a person she worked with on “Pretty Little Liars”. In an interview about the song, Lucy stated, “In life, in general I’m not one to fall to pieces over a guy or give up anything; I’m very headstrong. I’m very focused on what I do and very independent, but there was this certain guy that I was acting like an idiot around,” Hale admitted. “I was fumbling over my words, I was stuttering, I couldn’t focus, I couldn’t look him in the eye. I was just crushing so hard on him,” she added. “So it’s just kind of a funny way to say that sometimes you just have to cover it up, sometimes you have to lie a little better.” Watch the music video and check out the lyrics below.
