Four-time Grammy award winner and beloved Nashville fixture, Loretta Lynn, suffered a stoke this past May and has triumphantly made her return to the stage!
After her medical emergency, the 85-year-old decided it was best to put a halt on her remaining 2017 tour dates along with pushing back the release of her upcoming album, Wouldn’t It be Great. Just months later, this legendary singer-songwriter proved to her fans that she is still able to perform. Lynn recently made an appearance at the Tennessee Motorcycle and Music Revival, which took place at her Tennessee ranch from Sept. 28 – Oct. 1. On the last day of the event she sat on stage surrounded by her family and sang for the first time publicly since her hospitalization.
Fans witnessed Lynn perform portions of two of her biggest hits, “Coal Miner’s Daughter “and “You Ain’t Woman Enough (To Take My Man).” Watch below!
During the four-day festival, fans could take rides through her Tennessee ranch while enjoying live music, food trucks, and camping. What a memorable weekend for the legend to get back into the swing of things!
Loretta Lynn has always been a top-notch country music star, back in the 70’s she was the first female country singer to uphold the title Country Music Association’s ‘Entertainer of the Year.’ The self-taught guitarist and songwriter has recorded over 45 million records in the last 50 years along with being inducted into more music hall of fames than any female recording artist.
With her new album not being released until 2018, fans can still enjoy Lynn’s most recent album Full Circle, which was released in March of 2016. This was Lynn’s first studio album in over ten years. It was a big hit and received a Grammy nomination for “Best Country Album.”
The renowned singer-songwriter has definitely proven that age is just a number and that she is a force to be reckoned with indeed. Be sure to share this promising update with other country music fans!
