Keith Urban has released “Break On Me,” the second single from his upcoming eighth studio album.
“John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16″ singer Keith Urban has released a new track from his upcoming studio project titled “Break On Me”. The song is Urban’s first ballad since “Cop Car.”
“I’m so excited about this new single,” Urban said in a video message to fans posted to his Facebook page.
“I’m looking forward to you guys getting to hear it and especially looking forward to playing it live, which we’ll be doing very soon.”
“Break On Me,” was co-written by Ross Copperman and Jon Nite and co-produced by Urban and Nathan Chapman.
The song is a message to the heartbroken and is beautifully written.
“Break On Me” appealed to Urban because “it was the right blend of simplicity, melody, lyric (and) sentiment.” And he said he’s been fortunate enough to be the guy in the song.
Urban hopes that this single will do as well as his previous one, which earned him is 19th number one on the charts.
Urban is set to perform on The 49th Annual CMA Awards with the legendary John Mellencamp.
