Lauren Akins' long blonde hair is no more after a trip to the salon! Check out her new look and find out what she's doing with her excess hair...

Country music hit-maker Thomas Rhett’s wife Lauren Akins is sporting a much shorter hairstyle after visiting The Dry House, a Nashville salon which is co-owned by Dierks Bentley’s wife Cassidy Black. The blonde beauty joked via social media that her 21-month-old toddler daughter, Willa Gray, was the mastermind behind the new look. In reality, Lauren planned lobbing off about a foot of hair to donate to Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths campaign, which creates wigs for women with cancer.

We love this photo from Willa Gray and Lauren’s little ‘do good for others’ date!

The salon also posted a fun ‘before and after’ clip of Lauren’s stunning hair transformation! Watch it below.

Want to participatee in Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths campaign? The program’s goal is to help women with cancer feel like themselves again with free, real-hair wigs. Individuals can opt to donate at least 8 inches of hair or contribute a monetary donation to the worthy cause. For more information, go here. In partnership with the American Cancer Society’s Wig Bank, 42,000 real-hair wigs have been donated by the cause so far.

Besides helping her mommy get a cute new style, Willa Gray also started school this week! She looks pretty excited about this new chapter and we hope she enjoys every minute.

Also of note, Thomas Rhett’s new album Life Changes, which dropped on September 8th, has made an impressive debut! The project hit No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart upon its debut, making it the first country release to land the top spot in 2017. Pushing more than 123,000 units in its first week, the album is living up to the hype.

‪‪The Georgia native’s third studio album is certianly the biggest, boldest-sounding record of his career. The new release is already garnering attention, earning Rhett his eighth career No. 1 as well as his Top 15 and fastest rising single yet, “Unforgettable.” He is currently nominated for three CMA Awards— including Male Vocalist of the Year along with Musical Event Of The Year and Music Video of the Year for the No. 1 Gold-certified lead track “Craving You.” The star is currently on his 2017 Home Team Tour, which wraps up in November.
