Stevie Nicks and Lady Antebellum performed “Golden” and “Rhiannon” at the ACM Awards, which were held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday, April 6, 2014. “Rhiannon” is a song written by Stevie Nicks and originally recorded by the British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac on their eponymous album in 1975. The song was also issued as a single the following year.
Check out the written lyrics to Rhiannon below that Stevie Nicks stated, “”This is a song about an old Welsh witch”.
Rhiannon rings like a bell through the night
And wouldn’t you love to love her?
Takes to the sky like a bird in flight
And who will be her lover?
All your life you’ve never seen
Woman taken by the wind
Would you stay if she promised you heaven?
Will you ever win?
She is like a cat in the dark
And then she is to darkness
She rules her life like a fine skylark
And when the sky is starless
All your life you’ve never seen
Woman taken by the wind
Would you stay if she promised you heaven?
Will you ever win?
Will you ever win?
(Rhiannon)
(Rhiannon)
(Rhiannon)
(Rhiannon)
She rings like a bell through the night
And wouldn’t you love to love her?
She rules her life like a bird in flight
And who will be her lover?
All your life you’ve never seen
Woman taken by the wind
Would you stay if she promised you heaven?
Will you ever win?
Will you ever win?

Taken by taken by the sky
(Ah-ah)

Taken by taken by the sky
