“No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem” country music star Kenny Chesney is clearly an ocean and beach life lover. Many of his songs talk about being seaside and enjoying the sand between your toes. Now, Chesney and No Shoes Nation are teaming up with ENGEL Coolers to help save coral reefs!
The Andrew “Red” Harris Foundation is also working together with these teams to create artificial reefs. They work specifically on the coast of Jupiter, Florida, but their environmental developments are beneficial to wildlife beyond that point. Artificial reefs can encourage underwater wildlife to build new habitats and adapt to the dying reef. Through a partnership with DEEP Apparel, supporters can buy a range of clothing items and that money will benefit the conservation of coral reefs all around the world.
“As a company who calls South Florida our home, and one whose products are enjoyed by so many marine life enthusiasts, ENGEL is proud to work with Kenny Chesney’s No Shoes Nation, the Andrew “Red” Harris Foundation and DEEP Apparel to preserve, protect and in some cases, create, reefs,” said Paul Kabalin, CEO of ENGEL Coolers, in a recent press release. “Our coral reefs are not just beautiful; they are necessary for the survival of thousands of marine species, and they help protect our shorelines. ENGEL is committed to doing all we can towards reef deployment and preservation.”
Shirts will be available in men’s and women’s sizes, and they will sell for $25.99 each. Unisex baseball caps go for $19.99 each. $7 from the sale of each hat and $10 from the sale of each shirt will be donated towards the project.
