Country music star Kelsea Ballerini and her Australian singer-songwriter beau Morgan Evans are now married! The musical pair exchanged vows in beautiful Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Saturday, December 2nd.
“With our careers, we get to do what we love, then we get to find time to be with who we love. I think that makes for a really full life — when you can do everything that you want, and then share it with someone,” Ballerini shared with PEOPLE.
“In the lead-up to a wedding, you ask a lot of your married friends — especially people that are in similar situations or similar age — ‘Does anything change or is it just the same but a little more awesome?’ Everyone keeps telling us, ‘Ah, it gets better,’” Evans candidly added. “And so whatever that means, I’m looking forward to that, and it’s gonna be fun.”
The couple first met in Australia when they co-hosted the CMC Awards, a country music awards show, together. After a whirlwind nine months of dating, Kelsea and Morgan got engaged last Christmas.
On November 3rd, Ballerini released her sophomore album, Unapologetically, which was largely inspired by their love story. As expected, the newlyweds are planning to take the rest of 2017 off, but fans can catch the new Mrs. Evans on the road in 2018 on her headlining Unapologetically Tour with Walker Hayes and Bailey Bryan as special guests.
