It has been two and a half months since Kelsea Ballerini tied the knot with Australian singer-songwriter Morgan Evans, and she’s gradually trying to ease back into her life as a country singer. Last week, the “Peter Pan” singer began her first headlining gig, which will continue through April 27th. However, after her Unapolegetically Tour comes to an end, she will join Keith Urban’s Graffiti U World Tour. That’s a lot of shows to perform while maintaining a new marriage, but the Tennessee native says she and her husband have a plan.
“We do this thing where sit down with our calendars once a quarter, and we just figure out when I can go to him, when he can come to me, when we can block two days here and there, and we just figure it out,” Kelsea told Nash Country Daily. “We just know that this is the time in our lives where we need to put our heads down and work, and meet up when we can because this is the time when we’re setting that foundation, so hopefully a few years down the road we can say, ‘We want to take two weeks off here,’ and it’s okay. But right now we can’t, so we get that.”
The 24-year-old is also looking forward to spending time with Keith Urban and his wife, Nicole Kidman, when she joins the Grafitti U Tour. “I can’t wait to learn from [Keith and Nicole],” Kelsea added. “I feel like they balance their lives very well, because they’re at that level, which is why I’m saying we need to keep our heads down for a bit longer.”
As for the wedding, Ballerini and Evans shared some incredible memories together. The pair were wed in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. After spending a few days in Mexico, the newlyweds went back to Nashville. A couple of weeks later, they boarded a flight to Australia to spend the holidays with Evans’ family. You might be jealous of these trips, but wait until you hear about their honeymoon. The couple spent their honeymoon on the white sand beaches of Bora Bora. Congrats to the young couple!
