Tuesday, April 16, 2019 will undoubtedly go down as a favorable memory in history for country songstress Kelsea Ballerini, a.k.a., the newest and youngest inductee of the Grand Ole Opry! On this day, the “Miss Me More” singer was inducted into the Opry by her longtime idol, Carrie Underwood! Talk about a double whammy! According to People, Ballerini’s first time at the Opry was during her teenage years, when she was visiting as a fan. The (now) renowned singer knew then, just as a fan, that she had a strong desire to be a part of the widely respected and honored organization.
Ballerini was well on her way to accomplishing her big dream as she made her debut at the Grand Ole Opry just a year after the launch of her singing career in 2014. Little did she know, she would be inducted into (unarguably) the best membership just four years later!
Kelsea joins other recent inductees, Dustin Lynch, Chris Janson and Chris Young, while being awarded the youngest since 2008, when Carrie Underwood was inducted following her success on American Idol!
The honorable singer took her gratitude and excitement to Instagram the very next day.

For embracing and supporting my kind of country music. For knowing I’ll always show up for you. And for always showing up for me. And @carrieunderwood, I really wouldn’t know what it looks like to be a woman in country music without you. Thanks for paving the way and being there for me last night. I’m a forever fan.
