Country music singer-songwriter Keith Walker’s talent goes beyond music and also includes some mad music video editing skills. More on the emerging star here!

Rising singer-songwriter Keith Walker’s passion for country music extends far beyond simply crafting lyrics and melodies, the genre speaks to his soul. It seems odd coming from a guy raised in a picture perfect beach town at the end of the LAX runway, yet the road in which he got here makes perfect sense.

The sounds of Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakum, Gary Allan, and Garth Brooks had always resonated through the walls of Keith’s California home, but it wasn’t until his brother showed him the true power of country music that he realized his calling in life. Keith watched as his brother coped with the loss of his high school sweetheart after a horrific accident by singing along to the song “Don’t Take The Girl” by Tim McGraw.

”He hit his knees and sang along almost as if he was praying out loud. For the first time in my life it wasn’t just words in a song. It was real life and I knew it was what I had to do with mine,” Walker reflects.

After moving to Nashville, Keith hit the ground running and began making connections with Nashville’s best songwriters, developing a sound that he could call his own. Keith writes lyrics that resonate deeper than a few lines on a page because of his commitment to stay true to himself.

In 2016 and 2017, he took home the Nashville Industry Music Award (NIMA) for Best Country Male Solo Artist. Successes like these have led to opportunities to play dates with Kenny Chesney, Canaan Smith, Jana Kramer, and Clint Black. Walker just released his latest single, “That Song,” on June 22nd.

“I’ve never really been a fan of songs about songs, that is of course until I wrote this one,” he admits.

“A lyric and a melody has an amazing ability to let you relive moments in your past. It can stir up the best and worst memories from the strike of the first chord. That’s where ‘That Song’ came from,” Keith explains. “I wanted to capture that feeling of when you love and hate a song at the same time because of it’s connection to an ex. For me that goal was accomplished. I just hope it translates to country music fans.”

Enjoy the exclusive debut of the “That Song” lyric video below! By the way, Keith created this clip and was the lead video editor for Carrie Underwood‘s powerful “The Champion” music video, which won the 2018 CMT Music Awards ‘Video of the Year’ honor.
