The love between country music superstar Keith Urban and actress Nicole Kidman is totally electric and inspiring. In honor of Nicole recently receiving the ‘Film Actress of the Year’ honor during Glamour’s 2017 Women of the Year Awards, the singer sat down and talked about his wife of over a decade. Keith recalling his first first impression of the love of his life is really heartwarming.
“There was a magical, celestial thing about her,” Urban mused when describing meeting his future wife for the first time.

Not only is Nicole an incredibly talented woman, she’s also all about giving back to the world and has been an active U.N. Women Goodwill Ambassador since 2006. Her efforts are primarily focused on raising awareness about women’s rights around the globe, with an emphasis on violence against women.
While accepting the recognition, Nicole thanked her supportive husband, who was seated in the audience.
“He gives me so much strength at times and he gives me so much love,” Kidman shared as Urban became teary-eyed. “I’m very, very fortunate and I know so many people in this room don’t have that, but I do have it and I want to acknowledge it because as much as I’m a strong woman, I need help and I need support.”
The actress concluded her speech by saying that society needs to bridge the gaps between us and share the good love, supporting those who are different from us and making sure they’re seen and heard.
“Let’s offer our support and let’s create change,” she stated. “It is about building bridges. Bridges bring understanding, they bring empathy, but they bring change, and that’s what we need. We need change.”
