According to country star Keith Urban, there is totally a ‘fertility lake’ in remote Western Australia. While shooting the film Australia in Kununurra, actress Nicole Kidman took a swim in the rumored mystical waters and soon found out that she was expecting the couple’s oldest daughter, Sunday Rose. During a new interview with Australia’s Kyle & Jackie O show, Urban joked that the lake is totally responsible for his wife’s miracle pregnancy.
“There was a story about how the water makes you pregnant there like from the lake or something,” host Jackie O directed at Urban. “Did Nicole fall pregnant from that?”
“She did,” answered Keith. “And there was another woman who did too. There was two of them.”
Fellow program host Kyle cheekily followed up Keith’s response with, “How much semen is in this lake?!”
“Tons,” Keith hilariously replied. Oh man, he is such a good sport.
While filming director Baz Luhrmann’s epic film, Kidman battled morning sickness while working 14 to 15-hour days and even fainted while on horseback due to the region’s grueling temperatures. Despite the taxing shoot, Nicole safely delivered Sunday Rose on July 7, 2008 in Nashville.
“The unknown excites me a lot,” Urban shared with the media shortly before their first daughter’s birth. “What kind of feelings will fatherhood bring? I’m sure I can’t even imagine, but I am really looking forward to finding out.”
In 2010, the couple welcomed their second daughter, Faith Margaret, into the world via a surrogate. Nicole also has two adopted children, Connor and Isabella, with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
Sunday and Faith are totally a perfect blend of their famous parents!
Besides making the rounds promoting his latest album, Grafitti U, Keith is also preparing to hit the road. The star’s 58-city Graffiti U World Tour is set to start on June 15th in St. Louis, Missouri and wrap up in November with country music songstress Kelsea Ballerini providing direct tour support.
