Last night’s Nashville Predators’ Stanley Cup playoff game against the Anaheim Ducks was certainly a star-studded event! Nashville transplant Keith Urban got the honor of singing the National Anthem before the home game at the Bridgestone Arena. Enjoy his rendition below!
Surprisingly enough after 25 years of living and working in the United States, this was the first time the country superstar was ever asked to sing the anthem. Can you believe that?
“It’s a nerve-wracking experience, but above all, it’s a huge honor. For me, for all the years I’ve lived here, it’s probably one of the proudest moments ever in my life.” Keith Urban shared with the NHL Network after his rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Besides Keith and wife Nicole Kidman taking in the big game, other Nashville stars were peppered throughout Bridgestone Arena— Jason Aldean and wife Brittany Kerr, Dierks Bentley with his family, Kip Moore, Chase Rice, Carrie Underwood, and Little Big Town‘s Karen Fairchild and Phillip Sweet.
While supporting her hockey star husband Mike Fisher, Carrie couldn’t resist lip-syncing to “The Fighter” played on the arena’s organ by Krazy Kyle Hankins.
The Preds clinched victory 2-1 to take a 2-1 lead in the series and will continue their Stanley Cup playoffs against the Ducks on Thursday, May 18th in Nashville. Smashville is where it’s at— this win marks their 10th straight on home ice during the playoffs.
