Country music hit-maker Kane Brown recently discussed his wife Katelyn Jae‘s pregnancy and how they are preparing to welcome their little girl this fall!
“We’re getting somebody to come in and do the nursery for us, which we are really excited about,” Brown shared with PEOPLE. “We’ve already got our car seat in the car, which is kind of weird to me but kind of cute at the same time. I’ve got my daddy books because I need to read before she gets here.”
As many fans know, Kane was raised by a single mother and his own father was mostly absent from his life. Kane looks forward to being the father figure he never had growing up.
“I’m excited,” the star told ABC News Radio. “You know, me and my wife are in it together, and I get to be the dad that I never really had.”
While the couple enjoys the last few months of Katelyn Jae’s pregnancy, they are making sure they fit date nights into their busy schedules. When not on the road, the mom-to-be especially loves the Bourbon Steak restaurant inside the JW Marriott Nashville hotel.
Before baby arrives, Kane and Katelyn are wracking up the miles on tour and look forward to sharing this lifestyle with their daughter.
“This is our “normal” and I am so blessed to be able to watch him live his dream every night and for all the memories we create on the road and the exploring we get to do together. The bus is our home , the road is our adventure , and all the faces out here with us everyday are our family. We cannot wait to bring our baby girl and create even more memories and show her so much,” Katelyn explained on Instagram along with a picture of the pair on their tour bus.
