Sam Hunt‘s infectious hit “Body Like a Back Road” was dethroned by Kane Brown‘s “What Ifs” featuring Lauren Alaina. This achievement notches the first Hot Country Songs No. 1 hit for both Brown and Alaina.
“All I can say is, 34 weeks, Sam Hunt? Damn. I’m happy to get in there,” Kane shared with Billboard after receiving the big news.
Earlier this month, the rising star achieved his first RIAA Platinum certification with the smash success of the track. On Friday, October 6th, the artist dropped his Kane Brown Deluxe Edition record. The 15-song collection features the full original album plus four new songs, which include three Brown co-writes. The rising star is currently on the road as a special guest on superstar Jason Aldean’s They Don’t Know Tour.
