While being a celebrity certainly has its perks, being well-known does have its drawbacks when it comes to privacy matters. Just ask rising country music artist Kane Brown— he has some stories.
“This one guy came up (to our door),” Brown recently shared during an interview with Taste of Country Nights.
“He’s awesome and he is from here, so if you hear this, I’m not talking bad about you,” he continued, chuckling as he told the story, “But he came and knocked on the door. We had just ordered pizza and it had been 30 minutes and I thought the pizza was there. I don’t know why but me and my fiancée [Katelyn Jae] went together to get the pizza … So we go get the pizza, thinking it’s the pizza guy, and this guy throws a 12-pack of Coors Light in my hand and throws a bag of wine in her hand and sprints off the porch.”
Needless to say, Kane and Katelyn were apprehensive when it came to opening the mystery bags. Fortunately, it was just adult beverages and a letter inviting the “What Ifs” artist to his wedding.
The country star and his bride-to-be recently bought a new home and relocated. Their new place features a huge yard for the pair’s 110 pound pup, Nash, to enjoy. Hopefully his presence will deter fans from knocking on Kane and Katelyn’s door like they did at their former home in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.
Despite facing occasional unusual fan encounters, Kane has no plans to change up what he’s doing. Last week, Brown dazzled The Voice audience with his performance of his No. 1 platinum-selling hit “Heaven.” The 24-year-old is the only artist in Billboard history to top all five Billboard Country charts simultaneously. The track just topped Billboard and Country Aircheck/Mediabase’s country airplay charts. “Heaven” follows the success of Brown’s “What Ifs” collaboration with Lauren Alaina and is also the star’s third song to achieve Platinum or Multi-Platinum certification.
