Joey Feek was laid to rest this morning during a private funeral in the family cemetery on the Maury County, Tennessee homestead she shared with her husband, Rory, and two-year-old daughter, Indiana. The Feek family returned to the family farm on March 5th after Joey’s death last Friday.
…making plans that I hoped we would never have to make.

A public memorial service is also scheduled to take place in Joey Martin Feek’s hometown of Alexandria, Indiana. The Feek’s close friends and Gospel music legends Bill and Gloria Gaither will host the service scheduled for Sunday, March 13 at 2:30 PM in the Alexandria-Monroe High School gym. Rory Feek, his three daughters, and members of Joey’s family will also attend the special service. The whole community has been a great source of support and kindness for the entire Martin and Feek clan during Joey’s brave cancer battle and hospice stay.
“Joey was one of a kind,” Bill Gaither shared in a press release. “We all will miss that sweet, transparent spirit.”
