As fans already know, Grammy-nominated country duo Joey + Rory are slated to release their new Hymns That Are Important to Us album on Valentine’s Day— February 14th— but in a surprise twist, the album will launch sooner. A deluxe version of the record is available through a special pre-sale on Friday, February 12th exclusively at Cracker Barrel locations across the United States. Even better, fans will be able to pre-order the CD exclusively via Cracker Barrel’s website starting Friday, January 15th.
“The CD package includes never-before-seen photos of Joey and Rory and their family, a magnet, lyrics, excerpts and stories from Rory’s blog, This Life I Live and a closer look into the couple’s journey creating this album together,” states a press release. Cracker Barrel will donate a dollar from each sale of the deluxe edition to support the Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Foundation, a nonprofit Joey Feek selected because the disorder affects daughter Indiana’s dear friend, Scout.
“Joey and I feel blessed to partner with Cracker Barrel for the deluxe package of our new hymns album,” states Rory Feek. “These songs of faith and hope mean so much to us, and to have them wrapped within intimate stories and photos from our lives is a dream come true. We are both big fans of the restaurant, and our family has held hands and said blessings over many meals there throughout the years.”
Hymns That Are Important To Us features 13 tracks that “capture the words and melodies that were the soundtrack to Joey’s childhood,” explains Rory. “It’s the one Joey has always wanted to make – filled with the hymns she grew up with,” he added.

UPDATE:
In December, Joey + Rory got the thrilling news that they had been nominated for a Grammy in the ‘Best Country Duo / Group Performance’ category for their rendition of “If I Needed You.” The talented husband and wife duo are up against the Brothers Osborne; Charles Kelley, Dierks Bentley and Eric Paslay; Little Big Town; and Blake Shelton and Ashley Monroe in the category.
Unable to attend the ceremony, Rory Feek revealed that daughters Heidi and Hopie, along with manager Aaron, traveled to Los Angeles to represent the musicians at the GRAMMYs. Sadly, the duo did not receive the honor— Little Big Town won for their performance of “Girl Crush.” Instead of being surrounded by glitz and glamour, Joey and Rory watched the awards program with their daughter Indiana and Joey’s close family members from the comfort of her room. We hope the couple enjoyed their night despite the results!
