Illinois-based Joe Stamm Band (JSB) is a high energy country-rock group rooted in the black dirt of the American Midwest. The band’s music is laced with rural imagery, hard-driving guitar, and songwriting that invites listeners into a deeply personal, authentic life experience.

JSB is anchored by long time members Joe Stamm (guitar/ lead vocals), Danny Greuter (lead guitar), and Jon Byler Dann (bass guitar/ backup vocals). Recent additions include Bruce Moser (drums) and Dave Glover filling out the guitar section. Their focus is singular – play great music for as many people as possible. Joe acknowledges, “We started this thing in the grassroots of central Illinois. And we plan to stay firmly rooted. Roots and growth are dependent on one another. We trust our fans will keep us centered on both.”

Joe is no stranger to to music scene and has opened for acts such as Travis Tritt, Parmalee, the Kentucky Headhunters, and JT Hodges, even sharing the bill with country music icons Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson at the Tailgates & Tallboys Music Festival.

 “American Freeborn Kids” Lyrics

I’m just normal everyday people, here’s my church and here’s my steeple
And if you open your hands you’ll see all the good folks inside
I know the law & I know the Bible, I’ve got friends and I’ve got rivals
And I’m no stranger to a damn good time
I love Jennings & I like Church, Lynard, Creedence & Dierks
A beer, a milkshake, a girl on a Friday night
I love dogs, & I like cats, taking long afternoon naps
And dreaming of a day when my name’s in marquis lights
This song’s about me, this song’s about you
This song’s about open hearts, open minds, & drinkin’ a beer or two
I like what I like, and so do you
And it’s okay if that’s not the same
If you like sun, and I like rain
Cause we’re American free born kids red, white & blue
You might like wine & eatin’ sushi, Beyonce wigglin’ her big old tooshie
I like huntin’ & fishin’ & meat that’s cooked enough
You might be Army, I might be Navy, I like it dry & you like gravy
Hell, it’s the space between that’s what makes this nation tough
This song’s about me, this song’s about you
This song’s about open hearts, open minds, & drinkin’ a beer or two
I like what I like, and so do you
And it’s okay if that’s not the same
If you’re a pleasure, and I’m a pain
Cause we’re American free born kids red, white & blue
This song’s about me, this song’s about you
This song’s about open hearts, open minds, & drinkin’ a beer or two
I like what I like, and so do you
And it’s okay if that’s not the same
If you like whips & I like chains
If I’m Clint Eastwood & you’re John Wayne
If you indulge & I abstain
Cause we’re American free born kids red, white & blue

If this song doesn’t make you smile, we don’t know what else will. Share Joe Stamm Band’s latest with other country music fans!
