Jerrod Niemann is heading an initiative to bring music education to public schools.
In the spirit of the holidays, country music singer Jerrod Niemann has joined with Logan’s Roadhouse to help support music in schools. Niemann and Logan’s are offering a series of music education grants that are designed to benefit students in Kindergarten through 12th grade.
The “Blue Bandana” singer is perfect for the project because he has been supporting his own music education non-profit “Free the Music USA”. Niemann’s charity gifted the Fort Smith Kimmons Junior High School band with $5,000 in November of this year.
Niemann also took the time to talk virtually to the students about the importance of music.
“You’ll find music that speaks to you and inspires you, and what you’ll learn at the very end of the day is that all your heroes merged into one is you, and that’s your voice,” Niemann said to the students. “Don’t be afraid to find your own voice.”
Now, because of Logan’s Roadhouse, Niemann will be helping many more students “find their own voice” with grants that totaled $25,000.
“This is a major program for us, and we are extremely excited about it and our relationship with Jerrod,” a Logan’s representative said.
“Jerrod and I share a common belief that if we give back what we receive from music to students, the young artists who emerge will become the artists we’re listening to in the future, and in that sense, music lives forever.”
We look forward to hearing more from Niemann in 2016. His last single “Blue Bandana” was released in July of this year, and gave his fans a glimpse of what the new album will hold.
“I always try to be the same person on and off stage,” Niemann says.
“If I ever get into any trouble, I will have to write about it.”
