On December 1st, country music entertainer Jason Aldean and wife Brittany welcomed their first child into the world together, a baby boy named Memphis. While Jason was already the father of two daughters, Keeley and Kendyl with ex-wife Jessica Ussery, parenthood was a totally new territory for Brittany.
Understandably, Brittany was a little overwhelmed after the couple brought Memphis home from the hospital. (Newborn babies are a lot of work, y’all.)
“We got home and she didn’t know what to do, ever. It’s just like, ‘He’s crying. Is he hungry?’ I’m like, ‘Well, just ’cause they’re crying doesn’t always mean they’re hungry. It could be a few things,’” Jason recently shared with local Nashville media. “She picked it up and now she’s doing awesome.”
“It’s crazy how you start to learn their little personalities, and I can tell you if he’s tired, if he’s sleepy, and it’s fun. It’s all stuff I’ve had to remember because my youngest daughter’s 10, almost 11, so it’s been a minute since I’ve had a little one at the house like that. But believe me, he’s making me remember all of it and it’s cool,” the Georgia native mused.
Brittany has certainly hit her stride as a new mother and definitely has a favorite bonding activity to do with her young son— bath time!
“To see her with him and how good she is with him, it’s pretty cool,” the country star added. “Her favorite thing is bath time. She’d give him five baths a day just because she likes to see him in the tub and he likes getting baths anyway. You notice a lot of her pictures are him getting in the tub or getting out of the tub, so that’s their thing. A special part of the day is bath time.”
It’s great to hear country music entertainers talk so lovingly about their spouses and children. Really endearing. This week, the trio will be will be hitting the road together for Jason’s High Noon Neon Tour. The trek, which also includes special guests Lauren Alaina and Luke Combs, kicks off on Thursday, May 10th.
