Country music superstar Jason Aldean admits that he's in no way perfect, but he learns from his personal and professional stumbles. More here.
In a recent interview with CMT, country star Jason Aldean sat down to discuss the illusion of stars being ‘perfect’ and got real.
“I think a lot of times if you’re an artist or you’re in the spotlight, people look at that and [think] ‘Oh, everything must be so perfect.’ If you do anything that’s not perfect, you get crucified for that stuff sometimes,” Aldean said. “Listen, I’m the first one to tell you I’m not perfect. I make mistakes all the time. The one thing I’m smart enough to do is learn from them and not do the same thing twice if I do something wrong.”
“My career and personal life has been like a rollercoaster ride–all crazy. To me, it’s about putting certain things behind you and looking down the road to better stuff, just a brighter day ahead. To me, that’s what it’s all about,” Jason continued.
On top of opening up about his personal views, Jason Aldean also shared how the Route 91 Harvest Festival mass shooting strengthened his relationship with his wife Brittany.
“Britt and I were there together, and so her and I lean on each other for that stuff,” the “You Make It Easy” singer added. “My mom, my dad, my sister and people like that weren’t there. More than anything, we were already a pretty tight family, but I think it brought us closer in a lot of ways, too.”
Jason Aldean’s forthcoming album, Rearview Town, has been dedicated to the shooting’s victims. In addition to growing closer to his wife, Jason believes the shooting brought him closer to his fans.
“It’s made them see me for me and more of a human other than this larger-than-life character,” Jason said. “I think people have realized you go through stuff just like they do. People probably see me in a different light, which has been good.”
If you’re looking to hear some new music from the Georgia native, he will be dropping his eighth studio album, Rearview Town, on April 13th. Jason also recently released the album’s final track, “High Noon Neon.” The song inspired the name of his upcoming High Noon Neon Tour, which is set to kick off May 10th in Kansas City, Missouri.
