In celebration of Jason Aldean becoming a father for a third time, let’s look back at the country music hit-maker as a child and young man!
A little background first— Jason Aldine Williams, known professionally as Jason Aldean, was born February 28, 1977 in Macon, Georgia to Barry and Debbie Williams. His parents divorced when he was just 3-years-old and he grew up splitting his time between Macon and Homestead, Florida. His father was instrumental in sparking Jason’s interest in music and taught him how to play guitar during his summer visits. Growing up, his favorite country songs were George Strait’s “The Cowboy Rides Away,” Hank Williams Jr.’s “The Blues Man,” and Alabama’s “My Home’s in Alabama.”
Back in Georgia, his mother helped him score his first live gig at the local VFW hall. After that successful stint, Jason caught ‘the bug’ and performed live at area talent shows and fairs. At the age of 15, he joined the house band at a Georgia nightspot called Nashville South.
