Country music hit-maker Jason Aldean and wife Brittany Kerr Aldean shared their son’s name when they showed off the little dude’s slick nursery….
The name “Memphis” is shown spelled out in lights above the baby’s crib, which is also features a tiny pair of Nike tennis shoes and a red Georgia Bulldogs jersey— in honor of Aldean’s favorite college football team. (Where’s the Alabama gear, Britt?!)
Yes, Memphis is on his way and it looks like he’s already quite the character. Check out that mug!
Over the weekend, Brittany’s Nashville-based baby shower was held. The mother-to-be was absolutely glowing as she enjoyed the company of some of her closest friends.
Memphis is Brittany’s first child and Jason’s third, he has two daughters— 10-year-old Kendyl and 14-year-old Keeley— with ex-wife Jessica Ussery.
Aldean has admitted that picking a name for his unborn son wasn’t as easy as he thought it would be.
“You know it’s funny, we found out picking a name for our son has been tougher than we thought. Names that I liked, she didn’t like and names that she liked, I didn’t like,” Aldean told PEOPLE about the name selection process.
The new baby will be the first boy on both sides of the family for a generation, so picking soild name came with some extra pressure!
“We’ve got a little boy on the way at the end of the year,” Aldean told the outlet. “It’s actually the first boy on either side of family in quite a while. My sister has three girls; I have two; my wife’s sister has two girls. So it’s all girls, no boys. This is going to be the first one. We’re excited!”
The couple announced the pregnancy in early May and are due in December.
Aldean says he’s excited to be able to do ‘guy things’ with his son. “Hunt, fish, playing baseball in the yard and all that kind of stuff, I’m looking forward to all of it,” he told Taste of Country.
We’re thrilled for this couple as they embark on this next chapter of their relationship! We can’t wait to meet little Memphis.
