Jake Owen has earned his sixth No. 1 single this week with “American Country Love Song” sitting at the top of the Billboard Country Airplay and Country Aircheck’s Mediabase charts.
“We debuted ‘American Country Love Song’ in the spring,” reflects Owen. “People seemed to genuinely like it when we put it out and quite honestly, I was relieved to receive the positive feedback from everybody. Our ‘Love Bus’ Road Trip was the beginning of the journey with this song and the music video. It really was a life changing time for me. Now, to see this song go all the way to No. 1 this week is just a great way to end the summer. Let’s raise a glass!”
Owen continues, “I have a lot of people to thank who worked so hard to get ‘American Country Love Song’ to the top of the charts. The No. 1 hit is the debut single from Owen’s highly anticipated fifth studio album, American Love, which has just been certified gold by the RIAA. The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, which is the highest debut of his career on the all-genre chart.
On September 21st, the Florida native Owen will perform his new No. 1 hit on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! plus a few more tunes from the record on their outdoor concert stage in Hollywood.
