Jake Owen fans had a reason to be excited as they tuned into CMT this morning to watch the much-anticipated video for Owen’s summer anthem “Real Life”.
Owen first performed the song on the CMT Music Awards, where Billboard ranked him as the #1 BEST performance of the night.
Directed by Jeff Venable, the video highlights the natural-born entertainer’s ability to make real life a party, and like the song, doesn’t take itself too seriously. A moving portrait of quirky characters set in real life adventures, the video features a dance party at The Waffle House (awesome) and many candid scenes of Jake living the life we all wished we lived.
Taking notes from the anthem, Owen included his “Real Life” friends and family—from a cameo from NASCAR star Kevin Harvick to the singer’s hometown friends, twin brother Jerrod and mom.
Hailed as “infectious” by Entertainment Weekly, “Real Life” (Ross Copperman, Shane McAnally, Ashley Gorley and Josh Osborne) is the first single from his upcoming album on RCA Nashville. Marking his fifth studio project, the new album follows DAYS OF GOLD, which delivered the hit title track, PLATINUM-selling #1 smash “Beachin’” and critically acclaimed “What We Ain’t Got.”
