Although country music star Jake Owen loves performing for his fans, his daughter always comes first. Check out his most recent message for Pearl here.
Country music artist Jake Owen and former wife Lacy Buchanan welcomed daughter Olive Pearl Owen into the world on November 22, 2012. The country singer recently used Instagram as a platform to post an adorable message to his five-year-old daughter. “I’ve realized when I look at my pics I’ve posted, I’ve been putting up a lot of photos of my little girl. That’s because she’s what makes me proud. This is a platform where we can share ‘content’ with the world, family, friends, and yeah…my fans. My life isn’t just pictures of me strumming a guitar or crowds with lighters in the air. She’s my life, and everything else comes second. That’s why I’m posting this photo. And oh yeah, I love my dog too,” Owen captioned the post.
Since the “Good Company” singer mentioned he has been posting a bunch of sweet photos of Pearl recently, let’s check some of the other pictures out…
First, take a peek at this super cute New Year’s Day post by Jake. In the caption, the Florida native shares his daughter will be starting Kindergarten this year. She is growing up so fast!
Next, here’s a photo of Pearl asleep on daddy’s lap after a long night. This is so cute!
Sometimes a makeover is needed, other times letting your daughter give you a makeover makes her happy. “I’m perfectly comfortable with my manhood… sometimes, you’ve just got to let your little girl paint your nails and put mascara on you,” says Jake.
The life of a big-time country music artist demands a lot of time on the road, but Jake Owen always sets aside time to talk to his daughter. In this post, Jake is FaceTiming his little girl.
Jake Owen loves Pearl to death. He simply can’t get enough of her.
It’s so much fun watching these two form such a strong bond. Co-parenting isn’t easy, but Jake and Lacey are doing a great job!
Check out Jake Owen’s most recent single, “I Was Jack (You Were Diane),” below…
It was yesterday, it was years ago
We were singing every word on the radio
Kinda like the songs could save our souls
Somehow, someway
He was flowing fast, we was jumping in
Blue jean halo hanging off the wind
Two American kids just like them
Every time we play
It blew us away
Do you turn it up, do you sing along
Every time you hear that song
Like we did then, like we did when
Do you close your eyes, does it make you laugh
Do the memories take you back
To 6 packs and a Chevy Cheyenne
Way back when I was Jack and you were Diane
Yeah, and the music played
Yeah we were never growing up or growing old
Breaking up or letting go
Girl just like rock ‘n’ roll where’ it gone
But I hope like hell every now and again
I blow across your mind like that summer wind
And you’re holding on the sixteen long as you can
Every time that it comes on
Do you turn it up, do you sing along
Every time you hear that song
Like we did then, like we did when
Do you close your eyes, does it make you laugh
Do the memories take you back
To 6 packs and a Chevy Cheyenne
Way back when I was Jack and you were Diane
Oh yeah
Do you turn it up, do you sing along
Every time you hear that song
Does it still move ya, baby hallelujah
Do you close your eyes, does it make you laugh
Do the memories take you back
To 6 packs and a Chevy Cheyenne
Way Back when I was Jack and you were Diane
Yeah way back
Way on back
When I was Jack and you were Diane
Yeah do you close your eyes
Does it make you laugh
When I was Jack and you were Diane
Yeah do the memories take you back
Take you back, take you back
