Joey Hyde is on the rise in the country music industry. Along with building his fan base, Hyde will be releasing a very personal EP on Feb. 26.
Since a young age, Joey Hyde always had the need to create music. Hyde started playing guitar when he was nine years old. When he wasn’t performing in the worship band at church, he was practicing his musical talents with his high school garage band. Hyde grew up listening to his father’s vinyl collection in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Some of the artists he remembers listening to were Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd–the classics. However, the artists that caught Hyde’s attention for songwriting were Merle Haggard and Tom Petty. It wasn’t until long until Hyde started writing his own songs at age 13.
In 2006, Hyde moved to Nashville to follow his goal of joining the music industry. He joined several bands as a guitar player but then decided that with his talents, he could be a lead singer.
Hyde continued writing music and performing center stage in Nashville. He began to build his own fan base and building his name in the music industry. When he signed with Sony/ATV, his musical career really began to kick off.
In the last few years, Hyde performed along many well-known country artists such as Dierks Bentley, Lee Brice, Kip Moore, The Band Perry, The Cadillac Three, Keith Urban and others.
On Feb. 26, Hyde will be releasing what he believes is his “most honest project yet.”
A five-song self-titled EP will be a collection of songs that will describe Hyde’s recent life events and his path of pursuing his dream of being a country singer. This EP will be a combination of many musical influences and a reflection of his energetic personality. Listeners will learn more about Hyde through this EP than any online biography article. You won’t want to miss it!
