George Strait Sets Date for Hurricane Harvey Relief Concert

King George Strait is ready to take the stage to help his home state of Texas along with some top-notch talent. More details right here!

Country music legend George Strait and his Ace in the Hole Band along with special guests, six-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year Miranda Lambert, reigning CMA Male Vocalist of the Year Chris Stapleton, four time Grammy Award winner Lyle Lovett, and Texas Heritage Songwriter Hall of Fame member Robert Earl Keen, are set to play a very special concert at San Antionio’s Majestic Theatre benefiting the Rebuild Texas Fund.

The event will also be featured during the HAND IN HAND: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief Telethon which will air live on ABC, CBS, CMT, Fox, and NBC on September 12th at 8 p.m. EST.

The Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief telethon has been set up to aid those affected by Hurricane Harvey. The one-hour special will feature an array of celebrity appearances and performances. The broadcast’s participants include: Blake Shelton, George Clooney, Robert De Niro, Jamie Foxx, Beyonce, Julia Roberts, Barbra Streisand, Drake, Black Eyed Peas, Justin Beiber, Matt Lauer, Rob Lowe, Matthew McConaughey, Dennis Quaid, Kelly Rowland, Adam Sandler, Ryan Seacrest, Michael Strahan, Oprah Winfrey, and Reese Witherspoon with others to be announced.

The telethon broadcast, as well as Strait’s Hand in Hand Texas show, will also be available internationally via live stream on Facebook. Tickets to the September 12th San Antonio Majestic Theatre Show go on sale at 10 a.m. CST on Wednesday, September 6th via

Proceeds from the one-hour telethon will benefit United Way of Greater Houston, Habitat for Humanity, Save the Children, Direct Relief, Feeding Texas, The Mayor’s Fund for Hurricane Harvey Relief (administered by the Greater Houston Community Fund), and through the Hand in Hand Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund managed by Comic Relief Inc.
