Country music power couple Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood reveal how their limited free time is spent outside of touring. More here!

Juggling a massive world tour along with their individual career pursuits, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood’s busy lives don’t always allow them much time to relax. But when these country music superstars have time to themselves, they’re actually a lot like us ‘normal’ people.

Returning home each Monday after being on tour, Yearwood can be found in her pajamas. When she’s not using her free-day to catch up on a good book or drinking a pot of coffee, she uses Mondays for doctors appointments and other basic tasks. While Yearwood takes time for herself, Brooks finds happiness in getting on his tractor to move dirt around or cut down a tree on their property.

Before the tour started three years ago, Yearwood was worried that these quiet luxury moments wouldn’t exist. The thought of balancing normal life and seeing family while on the road brought a lot of anxiety to the songstress and seemed impossible. Although it took a bit of time, Trisha claims that she began to get in the rhythm of touring and now she is soaking it in and loving every minute of it.

On stage isn’t the only place to catch these two in their element! Just last week, Garth surprised his lovely wife with tickets to a Bruno Mars concert for her 53rd birthday! He started the celebration with a Tweet to Yearwood’s fans on her Twitter page. Brooks reminded them it was her birthday and to send love her way. The country music stars later flew to Louisville, Kentucky to experience the stage from the opposite side— in the audience. Yearwood made a cute collage of their experience via Instagram and although the concert was mostly for her, it seems Garth had just as much fun!

Thank you for all of your birthday messages and cakes 🎂! Garth surprised me with a trip to Louisville to see @BrunoMars! I know it was my birthday, but I'm not sure who had more fun! Xoxo
