On Friday, Garth Brooks appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to chat with Ellen and perform “Baby, Let’s Lay Down and Dance” from his upcoming album Gunslinger.
Before sitting down with the popular host, Garth gave fans a quick behind-the-scenes update.
During his interview, Garth discussed an array of topics— from his fears about returning to the limelight after 14 years away to the meaning behind his latest tune.
“I was scared nobody would show up,” “Everything moves on; I get it. Everything has its time. So when we announced Chicago, the opening city, I didn’t know what was gonna happen,” Brooks confessed about the start of his world tour.
Fortunately, fans were more than thrilled to witness his return and his tour is still going strong!
“My retirement days are behind me; I can do this until they throw me out,” the Oklahoman boldly declared.
Of course Ellen couldn’t resist bringing up the meaning behind his latest tune… Something tells us it’s not about innocently making ‘snow angels.’
