Garth Brooks is prepared to bring a healthy dose of country to New York City!

Be sure to tune into your local NBC station on the morning of January 8th to catch a big helping of Garth Brooks! The country superstar will be hanging out on the Today show for FOUR straight hours, starting at 7:00 AM ET! Even better, he’ll be co-hosting with Hoda Kotb while Kathie Lee Gifford is on vacation. Please, please let Garth Brooks serenade Hoda with his classic 1998 tune “Two Piña Coladas.”

No word on which songs will be featured on the popular morning program, but a few new songs from his new Man Against Machine album are sure make the cut. Brooks’ single “Mom” is a huge hit on the charts and made a big impression on ABC’s Good Morning America back in November. Seeing him give another beautifully emotional performance would be incredible.

It will be exciting to see Garth Brooks interact with the entire Today show crew and mark such a unique historical moment. He is the first person in the 62 year history of the show to be invited to stick around for such a long length of time. FOUR HOURS. That is incredible and really speaks to Brooks’ star-power and likability!

After Garth Brooks‘ stop in NYC, he’ll be heading back to Tulsa, Oklahoma to reboot his world tour on January 9th! By the way, Denver was just announced as a tour stop!
