Country music entertainer Garth Brooks made quite the impression with his second RodeoHouston appearance this year! More on the record here.

Country music superstar Garth Brooks set a new attendance record during his RodeoHouston performance on Sunday night—  75,577 individuals in attendance! During his set, which also closed the annual event, the Oklahoman brought out his wife and fellow country star Trisha Yearwood as his special guest. The female vocal powerhouse was driven up to the stage in an SUV and sang the romantic duet “In Another’s Eyes” alongside Brooks. She also treated the audience to her 1990’s hit “She’s In Love With the Boy.”

@garthbrooks closes out #RODEOHOUSTON 2018 with a new No. 1 paid rodeo/concert attendance record: 75,577. What a night!

At the close of his performance, Brooks mentioned to the crowd that RodeoHouston is over 85 years old and hopes to be able to play  its 100th anniversary.

“I’m a lot older than the last time I was at RodeoHouston,” he shared from the stage according to CultureMap Houston. “I made a handshake deal with the board … If I could still walk, I would love to come back and do the 100th anniversary.”

Hopefully Brooks scores another invite long before that milestone comes around. Watch the Oklahoman perform “The Thunder Rolls” below!

“The Thunder Rolls” Lyrics (Long Version)

Three thirty in the morning, not a soul in sight
The city’s lookin’ like a ghost town , on a moonless summer night
Raindrops on the windshield , there’s a storm moving in
He’s headin’ back from somewhere, that he never should have been

And the thunder rolls
And the thunder rolls

Every light is burnin’, in a house across town
She’s pacin’ by the telephone, in her faded flannel gown
Askin’ for miracle, hopin’ she’s not right
Prayin’ it’s the weather, that’s kept him out all night

And the thunder rolls
And the thunder rolls

The thunder rolls, and the lightnin’ strikes
Another love grows cold, on a sleepless night
As the storm blows on, out of control
Deep in her heart, the thunder rolls

She’s waiting by the window, when he pulls into the drive
She rushes out to hold him, thankful he’s alive
But on the wind and rain, a strange new perfume blows
And the lightnin’ flashes in her eyes, and he knows that she knows

And the thunder rolls
And the thunder rolls

The thunder rolls, and the lightnin’ strikes
Another love grows cold, on a sleepless night
As the storm blows on, out of control
Deep in her heart, the thunder rolls

She runs back down the hallway, and through the bedroom door
She reaches for the pistol, kept in the dresser drawer
Tells the lady in mirror, he won’t do this again
‘Cause tonight will be the last time, she’ll wonder where he’s been

The thunder rolls, and the lightnin’ strikes
Another love grows cold darlin’, on a sleepless night
As the storm blows on, out of control
Deep in her heart, the thunder rolls

Congrats to Garth for breaking another record! Share this news with other fans of this star!
